middle class and the third world

In this chapter friedman talked about the middle class here in the U.S comparing it to to Africa, India and China. I agree the autor that many of Americans consider themeselves as middle class of citizens even though statistically they are not on that category. Some of them are not making enough money to get the statute of a middle class. Others are making more than what a middle class American is making. In contrast to the United states of America, third world countries like Africa , India do not consider themeselves a middle class. For instance in Africa, either you are poor or rich. Those who are rich in Africa are very rich. And those who are poor are very poor, they can not even effort food to eat. I think that some of the reasons is that in Africa corruption is part of dely life. Whoever who get the chance to get job either in the government , privates sectors will practice corruption in other to get richer. For example the leaders in Africa are the most corrupt in this planet. Most of those leaders have big Bank accountants in switzland or other western countries where they transfer billions of dollar that they taking from the African ressources. The effect of those kind of stealing and corruption is a unimaginable poverty of the people of Africa who are ravaged by Diseases and poverty and are thinking how to get food to eat not by being a middle class citizens
