Importance of Globalization
So far this book seems to be very interesting. Most of the Globalization after the fall of the Berlin wall. The fact that technology is changing everything that we do is a little overwhelming. I think it is positive in the idea that we will be focusing more on globalization, but I’m also a little uncertain about moving all of the less specialized jobs to a different country.I think that free trade between differnt countries will help the growth of the global economy and would result in lifting millions of people from poverty. For instance, in this country you see alot of illegal immigrant crossing our borders to come here just to look for jobs. If they had the opportunity to get job in their country they would not come here illegaly. In this book Friedman talked about the Globalization is happening both culturaly and commercially.

Education and Flat World
In this chapter the author Friedman talked about how individual worker is going to become moreand more responsible for managing his or her own career, and he thinks that the job of
government and business is to help workers build the necessary power to do that. He also stated that,as American society produced more higher-skilled people by making high school mandatory, it will empowered more people to get education seriously because it is becoming more critical in the Flatter World to survive without education. And because technology will be overcoming old jobs and spawning new, more complex ones, much faster than during the transition from the agricultural economy to the industrial one. Every time you as a consumer make a decision, you are supporting a whole set of values.Friedman thinks that people voting about the barriers and friction you want to preserve or eliminate when it comes to politics.
In the nest chapter" The virgin Guadalupe" Friedman said that "The idea of reform retail is to enablethe greatest number of your people to have the best legal and institutional framework within which toinnovate, start companies, and become attractive partners for those who want to collaborate with them from elsewhere in the globe.

From industry to Individual
As I continue reading this book I am finding it more and more intersting. For instance in chapter six the author Friedman talked about how Globalization went from globalization industries to globalization individuals. I think he meant say that long before Companies was trying to take their businesses to the other part of the world . They were looking to go global to be able to take advantage of that foreign country availablity of ressources that would eventually help them maximise their profits. For example many companies were going to the middle east becuase the large oil reserve that exist over there. And some were going to China and India for the needs of more sales becuase of the large consumers in those countries.
But now those countries are looking for more about the individuals that will use as a labor. Outsourcing is comon to every company. Companies are looking for cheap labor and those who are willing to work hard for a little salary are India and China waiting to get job.
Another part of this chapter that cought my attention was when the made comparison of his parents used to tell him when he was a kid and what he tells now his own kids. He said that used to tell him"Tom finish your dinner people in China and India are starving. But now he tells his kids to finish their homework because People in India anb China are starving to get their Jobs.I think that Friedman want to make it clear to his readers that outsourcing is problem that will face genereation to come.

Flattened world
In the chapter two of the World is Flat, Friedman talked about the fall of the Berlin Wall as a begining of a new era that allowed people from other side of the wall to join the economic mainstream. Friedman recalled that day where he recount the presence of James Baker then Secretary of State under the Reagen Administration. In the same chapter he talked about the Cold war which ended after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He also tlaked about Netscape,Workflow software, open sourcing, outsourcing, offshoring, supply chaining, insourcing in-forming and the steroids.I really enjoyed that part of the book because it is a history for me I was a teenager at that time. It is very important to read and understanding the connection that the author is trying to make toconvence us that the fall of the Wall resulted in new chapter for the world.
In Chapter three the author elaborated the triple convergence. After readind that chapter Iwas very supprised to learn that imediatlyafter the fall of the Berlin Wall, countries that had followed the Soviet economic model—including India, China, and many nations third world nations began to open up their economies to the world. When these converged with the rest of the globalized marketplace, it helps enhance the global economy. An also helped shap the politics and economies of many countries.I am looking foward exploring more chapters of this book.
